Project Overview

A parent pulled over on the highway shoulder, stepped out, and watched the doors auto-lock — with a toddler strapped inside. Our dispatcher bumped every other job and sent the two nearest vans racing.

The Challenge

Highway shoulder, 95°F heat, a frightened child and a car with deadlocked doors that resist basic tools. Speed mattered, but so did keeping every panel and seal pristine on a nearly-new SUV.

Our Approach

First van arrived in 9 minutes, verified ownership while setting up, and used an air-wedge with a protective sleeve to trigger the interior handle — no paint touched, no alarm trauma. We stayed until the AC was cold and the toddler was giggling, then cut a spare key on the spot so it never happens again.
