Key Duplication Projects
Project Overview
A property manager with fourteen units needed forty keys — mixed brands, mixed ages, some copied from copies — before new tenants arrived Monday. Big-box kiosks had already ruined six blanks. We took the whole batch in one afternoon.
The Challenge
Worn originals, two discontinued keyways and a handful of "do not duplicate" stamps with no authorization on file. Every key had to work first time — there was no Monday-morning margin for a return trip.
Our Approach
We decoded each lock rather than copying worn metal, cut fresh keys to factory depths on calibrated machines, and test-fit every single one in our shop cylinders. Keys were labeled, bagged per unit and logged in a key register the manager still uses today.
